ABOUT HAIR THERAPY

The concept of Hair Therapy was developed in 2013. The 800 sq foot boutique studio was modeled after a New York studio apartment. Hair Therapy was the only studio of its kind in Woodbridge, Virginia. It relied on a mixture of technology and creative solutions to bring awareness to the client base, as well as superior intimate customer service. In 2016 Hair Therapy hosted the Grand Closing of the Northern Virginia store front. Hair Therapy currently provides online beauty supplies.

Candalada is the founder of Hair Therapy, an online hair product and beauty consulting company.  She is licensed by the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology.

She is a former instructor of Business Communication at Shenandoah University’s School of Business and has more than ten years of digital media experience. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Mass Communication, concentration in Media Studies, minor in Business Administration at Shenandoah University. She attended Trinity Washington University for a Master’s in Mass Communications, concentration in Political Rhetoric.

Candalada has been recognized by former President Barack Obama for her volunteer work. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and born to parents from Guyana, South America. Candalada lives in Northern Virginia with her son.
