From client to family

I met Queen V in 2013. She introduced me to her daughter and we became sisters. Staying in touch on birthdays, holidays and even doing joint spring break with our kids. We learned we travelled well together when we took our first mom get away trip to Turks and Caicos in 2024.

I met Grandma Honey (Queen V’s mom) during one of her many visits to the east coast. One of our most memorable visits was her birthday in 2024, Issa played a few songs on the guitar for her.

This year Grandma decided she wanted to celebrate her 88th birthday with a women’s only trip to St.Lucia. I was honored to be extended an invite. This multi generational group was comprised of Grandma Honey’s daughters’, grand daughter, and in-laws.

St.Lucia is a beautiful and hilly island full of greenery. We stayed at the Sandals Resort where the gardens are perfectly curated. There were tons of pools, and options for dining. There was a vegan option at every restaurant. I was upgraded to a pool side suite which really enhanced my stay.

I was nauseous driving to the hotel upon arrival because of the hills, turns and length of the drive. While sailing back to the airport I was also nauseous but the music was phenomenal and the photo ops were to die for. Travelling by boat allowed us to see some breathtaking landscapes.

The highlight of our stay was being recognized as the Honeybee’s everywhere we went. Patrons lined up to tell Grandma Honey Happy Birthday after resort staff gave her a very special shout out, the comments and gestures were heartwarming.
